  • Exterior view of the entry to the residence. Traditional, nostalgic architectural design in a residential mountain setting. Recycled barnwood, wood shake siding, stone, wood shingles on gable and grambrel roofs.

The site for this home is located near the Big Wood River in Blaine County and is partially covered with a dense stand of Cottonwood and Aspen trees. This nostalgic concept locates a large covered porch on the wooded, street side of the home and opens to an expansive sunny yard and terrace on the back side. A central feature of the plan is a large, covered, outdoor living area that is enclosed on three sides by the house. The large home was broken up in part by giving the garage guest suite wing a gambrel roof and sheathing it with recycled barnwood.
