  • Exterior view of the residence. Traditional Bungalow and Craftsman design in a mountain setting. Wood shake siding, stone veneer, wood trim and beams, large logs, and gable roof with wood shingles.

Located on a North facing wooded site in the Greenhorn Gulch area of Blaine County, this shingled hillside home responds to the site and client's program in a variety of ways. Having grown up in Pasadena California, the client wanted this home to refer to the Bungalow and Craftsman style homes he remembered from his youth. The layout opens toward the site's primary view and is organized to minimize complexity of the structure and its footprint so as to minimize the impact of the home and to preserve as much of the native vegetation as possible.
