An Idaho native, John was born and raised in Boise. He began college at Washington State University then moved to the University of Idaho where he received his Master of Architecture in 1999. As an intern, John worked for Hummel Architects in Boise and Jeffrey Charles Williams Architects in Ketchum. Upon graduating from college he worked for FFKR Architects in Salt Lake City. While there he had the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial projects including; large sports venues, university buildings and large mixed-use public facilities.
In February of 2001 he returned to Idaho to work again with Jeff Williams. The quality of the architecture as well as the lifestyle of the Sun Valley area appealed both to his personal and professional interests. A licensed architect in Idaho, John became a partner with Williams | Partners Architects in 2007.
As the firm continues to expand its horizons in other markets, John has been a liaison for projects in the McCall and Boise areas. Having spent a considerable amount of time in the McCall area over the years, and having witnessed the changes that have taken place, John feels a strong desire to improve the quality of architecture in the area and be a part of what the place becomes.
He is passionate about helping budget conscious clients who are on the fence about utilizing an architect. Bringing high quality design to a larger cross section of people and showing those that do not think they can "afford" an architect the value of our services is a personal emphasis. His personal skills, combined with his creative expertise provide the client with the comfort and confidence to achieve their goals.
